Construction Process: Meganeh Shirt
Lucky for me, I had a head start with this shirt because I had already made a bunch of short sleeve versions over the summer. With the pocket detail tried and tested, the rest was just watching a series of Youtube videos on how to sew a placket on a shirt cuff. I had a bit of trouble figuring out how much volume/how many pleats to put into the sleeve but landed on something I’m happy with.
Some would call me a snap enthusiast, so it was an easy decision to switch out regular buttons for the same snaps as the pocket top to keep consistency.
As lame as it may sound, a big driver for the snap idea was to hopefully one day watch a big Hollywood movie, where the start of a steamy sex scene has an individual having no trouble whatsoever ripping the SWB shirt off of their partner.
